As a team, the Mets can pitch. Their 3.72 ERA ranks 11th in baseball this year, and their 3.73 FIP ranks 9th. The starting rotation is still the anchor of the team's pitching stats, but the Mets' bullpen has improved quite a bit since the start of the season. They were also pretty good this week.

This meter covers Mets games from August 12 through 19.

He only made one apperance, but it was a stinker: 4 runs, 2 K, 2 BB, and 6 hits in 2 innings.

His stats for the season won’t look great because of a terrible first two months, but Gee’s been great, especially this week. In two starts, he had a 1.32 ERA, 8.56 K/9, and 1.32 BB/9.

Despite a miserable walk rate, Germen once again got the job done with 5 K in 3.2 innings. He now has a 2.88 FIP for the season in 18 innings.

Harvey had one of his only poor starts of the year before bouncing back with a decent one. In total, his numbers this week were merely okay.

Hawkins has mostly been good filling in for Parnell, but he served up a two-run, game-tying home run in one of his two outings this week.

Hefner might have to undergo Tommy John surgery, which would suck.

He continued to flash excellent stuff with great results, but Mejia hit the disabled list and is likely out until next spring as he’ll have bone spurs removed from his pitching elbow.

With 9 K, 1 BB, and just 1 run allowed, Niese was great. By game score, it was his best start of the 2013 season.

There's still no word on whether or not Parnell will need surgery on his neck, but he's seeing a doctor today.

Rice continues his very effective work out of the bullpen and has been good for nearly a month

Well, hello, Zack Wheeler. With 12 strikeouts and just 1 walk, the 23-year-old’s most recent start was his best in the big leagues.
