The veteran will stay in the National League East.

The Phillies have signed 36-year-old right-handed pitcher Aaron Harang to a one-year deal worth $5 million. Philadelphia will be Harang's third National League East team in the past three seasons. After struggling to the tune of a 5.40 ERA in 26 starts for the Mets and the Mariners in 2013, the veteran bounced back nicely last season, posting a 3.57 ERA in 204 innings for the Braves.

A thirteen-year veteran, Harang has built up his resume as a solid, if unspectacular, starter. He owns a career 4.21 ERA to go along with a 7.3/2.6 strikeout-to-walk ratio spanning 2149.2 major league innings. He's also known for his durability, having started at least 20 games in the past 11 seasons while eclipsing the 150-inning mark in 10 of them.

Going by his track record, Harang should give the Phillies 150+ solid innings while providing some insurance at the back end of their rotation. This is a decent deal for Philadelphia, especially considering Harang's relatively low price tag.
