Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (12–5)______________________________________
EL PASO 8, LAS VEGAS 5 (Box)
Things were tough from the outset for Noah Syndergaard on Saturday night as the Chihuahuas put a three-spot on the board in the top of the first on the strength of only one hit. That will happen when you surround that hit with a couple of walks, two stolen bases allowed, an error, and a wild pitch. The 51s answered in the bottom of the second when Cesar Puello stole third and then was able to shuffle home on the catcher's throw to first on the dropped third strike. But El Paso was able to tack on three more when they hit Syndergaard hard in the top of the third. With two outs and a runner on first, he walked a batter to put runners on first and second with Cody Decker coming to the plate. Decker homered to left to make it six to one, and Syndergaard still surrendered a double and a single in the inning before he was out of it. He had an easy one-two-three top of the fourth, but the damage was done and his night was over. But the 51s showed they weren't ready to surrender, plating three runs in the bottom of the fourth on a Taylor Teagarden solo shot and an infield single off the bat of Danny Muno that drove in two because of a throwing error by Chihuahua's hurler Juan Pablo Oramas. But that's as close as it would get. El Paso scored in each of the next two innings off of 51s' reliever Ryan Reid, and Las Vegas was only able to muster one more run on an eighth inning fielder's choice off the bat of Eric Campbell that scored Anthony Seratelli (who stole his second base of the game earlier in the inning). The Chihuahuas handed the 51s their fifth loss of the season in this first of a four-game series, and they dropped Noah Syndergaard's record to two wins and two losses.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (9–5)______________________________________
NEW HAMPSHIRE 2, BINGHAMTON 3 (Box)
Rainy Lara kept the Fisher Cats' bats at bay until the top of the fifth inning in Binghamton on Saturday, when the visiting team was finally able to push home the first run of the game. The B-Mets came back in the bottom of the frame, however, capturing the lead from New Hampshire's Deck McGuire when Xorge Carillo plated a run on a line drive single to center and then Matt Reynolds struck a run-scoring single of his own. New Hampshire was able to put one more run on the board in the top of the seventh when Jack Murphy took the B-Mets' reliever John Church deep to right. That was it for New Hampshire, though, as Chase Bradford closed out the game in the ninth to hand the Fisher Cats their ninth loss of the season, and move the B-Mets to 5–2 in their season series with New Hampshire.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (9–7)______________________________________
ST. LUCIE 0, FORT MYERS 4 (Box)
The St. Lucie Mets came into this one having beaten the Fort Myers Miracle in all five of their meetings so far this season, but the Mets offense had a quiet game against the Miracle's starter David Hurlbut and relievers Tim Shibuya and Brian Gilbert. The Mets put two on in the second inning and a runner in scoring position in the third, but they couldn't find that key hit in the early going. They never really threatened to score again until Brandon Allen doubled to left in the top of the ninth. But it was for naught, as Aderlin Rodriguez grounded into a double play before Gilbert Gomez ended it by grounding out to the pitcher. Domingo Tapia had poor command in his start, walking four in his four innings of work while allowing two runs. The bullpen struck out three in four innings of work, but allowed two runs (one unearned) on three hits and two walks, closing out the Mets' first loss to the Miracle in the season series.

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (9–5)______________________________________
GREENVILLE 3, SAVANNAH 3 (SUSP, B6) (Box)
Savannah has still been unable to avenge their series-opening loss to the Greenville Drive on Thursday night. After failing to get their game in on Friday due to rain, the Sand Gnats did quite a bit better on Saturday, managing to get in nearly six full innings before the skies opened and the game was suspended. Savannah scored three in the first two innings on the power of a bases-loaded walk by Drive pitcher Mario Alcantara and a bases-loaded double by Jeff McNeil in the second. Jared King's walk in the first inning stretched his on-base streak to a league-high fifteen games. Gnats' starter John Gant proved to be very hittable, finding himself in trouble throughout, but he managed to cough up only three runs despite allowing eight hits and two free passes in his five innings of work. The Gnats and the Drive were tied up 3–3 in the bottom of the sixth when the game was called due to rain. Play will resume on Wednesday, May 18 when the Drive are scheduled to again visit Savannah.
- SS Gavin Cecchini: 0–2, BB
- 3B Jeff McNeil: 2–3, 2B, 2 RBI
- 2B L.J. Mazzilli: 1–3, R
- DH Jared King: 0–2, BB, K, CS
- LF Stefan Sabol: 0–2, BB, 2 K
- CF Patrick Biondi: 1–2, R
- RHP John Gant: 5 IP, 3 ER, 8 H, 2 BB, 2 K, 1 HB
Star of the Night
Rainy Lara was steady for the Double-A B-Mets, throwing six frames of two-hit, one-run ball (and that sole run was unearned). That was enough, combined with the efforts of reliever John Church, to make Binghamton's three runs a winning total.
Goat of the Night
Giving up three runs in the first inning while walking two, uncorking a wild pitch, and allowing the Chihuahuas to run all over him is enough to earn Noah Syndergaard goat status for the day.
