The Mets recalledRuben Tejada from his exile in Triple-A Las Vegas today. Tejada took the high road after Sandy Alderson criticized his work ethic a week ago. Even with his struggles, Terry Collins says that the young shortstop has a chance to win back the starting gig.

Bobby Parnell will have surgery on a herniated disk in his neck on Tuesday. Sandy Alderson says he should be ready for 2014.

Surgery for Matt Harvey is still up in the air, as the ace will visit with Dr. James Andrews next week. Harvey says he feels great and is still hoping to avoid surgery.

Andy Martino reported yesterday that Shin-Soo Choo is the Mets' top free agent outfield target for this winter. That .291/.425/.471 line would look great in orange and blue.

Justin Turner is going to have an MRI on his hamstring, which he injured during last night's game.

Bad news for you radio listeners out there: WFAN has dumped the Mets for the Yankees beginning in 2014. No word on where Mets games will end up but whatever station they go to, it won't feature this jingle.

The preliminary 2014 schedule was released yesterday and the Mets will play the AL West in interleague games.
