After a successful first two games in the big leagues, there was still some debate as to whether or not Mets catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud would be sticking around after John Buck came back from paternity leave. It appears that the question has been answered.

Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports that d'Arnaud will remain with the Mets, and that he will get significant playing time down the stretch.

d'Arnaud, acquired in the R.A. Dickey trade last offseason, is 0-4 in the majors up to this point but he has drawn four walks. He hit .304/.487/.554 in 78 ABs for Triple-A Las Vegas this season and is a career .286/.347/.476 hitter in seven minor league seasons.

The Mets also have Anthony Recker on the roster along with d'Arnaud, so it's not yet clear what they will do once Buck returns. The most obvious move would be to option Recker or designate him for assignment. Less likely is a trade of Buck via waivers.
