The Mets fell to the streaking Dodgers by a score of 4-2 tonight in Los Angeles. After scoring two runs in the second inning off of Ricky Nolasco, the Mets couldn't manage any more. Jenrry Mejia looked great once again over his six innings but the Dodgers turned things around in the sixth as they plated three runs thanks to some very iffy defense on the part of Daniel Murphy and the rest of the Mets' fielders.
The top of the seventh inning proved to be the Mets' best chance to get back into this game when they loaded up the bases with out against Nolasco. With reliever Ronald Belisario in the game, Juan Lagares was punched out on what looked from the tv cameras to be a questionable strike three call by home plate umpire Chad Fairchild.
