AAA -Las Vegas 51s (60-51)__________________________________
LAS VEGAS 0, NASHVILLE 4 (Box)
A dearth of offense from the Vegas bats doomed the 51s Thursday as they lost to Nashville 4-0. Surprisingly, it was the fifth time this season the 51s had been shutout. I would have taken the under on that. I'm not sure there are any major takeaways from tonight but I will point out that Ruben Tejada is slugging under .400. In Vegas.

AA -Binghamton Mets (67-43)_____________________________________
BINGHAMTON 1, ALTOONA 2 (Box)
Altoona and Binghamton put on an offensive death match last night with just three runs scoring over nearly 13 innings, the final of which mercifully put the B-Mets out of their misery. Cesar Puello did not start this game which seems a bit odd considering it's highly possible he gets suspended today since this is just the type of news that attempts to bury itself on a Summer Friday afternoon. Then again, with the way MLB has been dragging their feet on this, it wouldn't surprise me if this went on for another couple weeks.
- 2B Danny Muno: 0-5, BB, 2 K
- PH-RF Cesar Puello: 0-1
- RF-LF Travis Taijeron: 2-6, 2 K
- PH Allan Dykstra: 0-1

Hi-A -St. Lucie Mets (21-16 / 58-46)________________________________________
TAMPA 4, ST. LUCIE 10 (Box)
Dustin Lawley homered in each of his first two at-bats to lead St. Lucie to victory Thursday night. The homers were the 22nd and 23rd of the season for Lawley, who leads the Florida State League in that department. Jon Niese continued his rehab tonight tossing four scoreless innings, walking one and striking out four. It would be great if Niese could get back to the big league club and perform like 2012 Niese. Mostly, I just want him to be healthy. Lucas Duda was also rehabbing in this one and he struck out three times in five at-bats. That's now 15 strikeouts in 33 rehab plate appearances.
- CF Kyle Johnson: 0-5, R, K

Lo-A -Savannah Sand Gnats(19-17 / 62-43)__________________________________
SAVANNAH 4, GREENVILLE 3 (Box)
Savannah scored the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth on a bases loaded force out, which seems like an odd way for the winning run to score in the ninth inning. Beck Wheeler came in and closed out the bottom of the ninth to secure the Sand Gnats' 4-3 win. Wheeler lowered his ERA to 1.36 and upped his strikeout total to 59 in 39.2 innings.

Star of the Night
Dustin Lawley is having himself a heck of a season. He is now hitting .266/.315/.542 in 101 games. He leads the FSL in both home runs and RBI and is second in slugging. His strikeout to walk ratio leaves something to be desired but the power certainly plays.
Goat of the Night
The horns go to Alonzo Harris, not just for his three strikeouts tonight, but also for his sub-.300 on-base percentage and general suckitiude this season. We were definitely hoping for more from Harris, who is likely one of the two fastest humans in the Mets organization.
