The Streamer Report provides you with daily startng pitcher streaming selections for owners who prefer to stream starting pitchers on a daily basis. This report identifies starting pitchers who are owned in less than 50% of ESPN Yahoo leagues, and who either has a decent track record vs their opponent, has pitched well of late, or has a decent matchup.
Note: I don't actually play in any leagues on ESPN, so I am having a hard time accessing the ownership data, so while Ray is out I will be using Yahoo data.
Let's take a look at how my selections on Monday fared:
Jacob Turner vs. Mets - 6.1 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K, ND
Jeremy Hefner vs. Marlins - 5.1 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 5 BB, 4 K, ND
Zach McAllister vs. White Sox - 7 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, ND
Total Stats: 18.2 IP, 14 H, 8 ER, 9 BB, 10 K, 3.85 ERA, 1.23 WHIP
Wednesday's Streamers
There are actually a lot of potentially strong options on Wednesday, so I'll include all the matchups I like, along with a bit more detail on the few I like a bit more:
Wily Peralta at CHC - Peralta has pitched great lately (33 IP, 1.64 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 28 K), and will face off against a Cubs offense that seems like it has been very hot or cold of late.
Corey Kluber vs. CHW - Against a White Sox' offense that has been hitting poorly, Kluber has a 2.51 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts in his last 30 innings.
Jenrry Mejia at MIA - Mejia allowed no runs in his last start, striking out 7 over 7 shutout innings, and gets Miami's poor lineup? Yes please.
Henderson Alvarez vs. NYM
Kyle Kendrick vs. SF
Edwin Jackson vs. MIL
Chad Gaudin at PHI
Jeremy Guthrie at MIN
