The Double-A affiliate won the Eastern League championship last season.

Fresh off of a 2014 Eastern League championship, Pedro Lopez is coming back in 2015 to manage the Binghamton Mets. Last year the squad went 83-59 in the regular season before disposing of the Portland Sea Dogs and Richmond Flying Squirrels in a pair of five-game series to claim Binghamton's first title in 20 years.

After starting with the Mets as the manager in Kingsport in 2008, Lopez has climbed his way through the team's organizational ladder until he reached Binghamton in 2012. Over the past three campaigns, he's won more games than any other skipper in team history.

The coaching staff will be rounded out by pitching coach Glenn Abbott and hitting coach Luis Natera. While Abbott has been paired with Lopez for his entire Binghamton tenure, Natera was with the big league club last season as the assistant hitting coach before being reassigned along with hitting coach Lamar Johnson. Before being promoted to the majors, Natera served in Binghamton for six seasons, so he's no stranger to Double-A.
