Meet the Mets
The Mets decided to be selfish and take a day off yesterday; but don't you worry, because they'll be back in action tonight at 7:10pm ET as Bartolo Colon takes on Scott Kazmir and the A's at Citi Field. The outing will be Kazmir's first ever in Queens, and will be sure to cause a stir as he's put together a career year thus far.
The big story of the past day has been that of Chris Young's potential release. ESPN New York's Adam Rubin suggested that the Mets are in talks about letting Young go, but as Ryan Hagerty tells us, it depends on who you talk to. Mike Puma went further to suggest that the Mets have never had internal discussions about releasing Young.
