Dear New York Mets: please make Bartolo Colon an everyday player. He needs to hit every day.
There's no doubt about it: the best thing about baseball in 2014 is Bartolo Colon hitting. As of right now, the 5'11, 283-pounder is 0-for-9 with six strikeouts, but they haven't just been regular outs. There was the time his helmet fell off, and the time he actually hit the ball and made it most of the way to first with his bat. And we've seen this thing.
Now, presenting: the second time his helmet fell off.
Look, it's not Bartolo's fault that his helmet doesn't fit his head. Or that he doesn't really plant his feet while swinging and just kinda hurtles his arms at the ball, even though it's not remotely near the plate. Well, maybe that second thing is his fault. But the ill-fitting helmet is on the equipment manager.
We hope the equipment manager never fixes it.
