The Mets jumped out to a quick lead but Jenrry Mejia gave it all back to the Marlins, who eventually won it 7-6 in 10 innings.

Cool stuff in the Times, as they followedMatt Harvey around during a day off from rehab. Apparently, he really likes to eat cheese. Maybe George Costanza was on to something.

The Mets froze out New York Post beat writer Mike Puma after Friday evening's victory. Puma wrote an unflattering article about Bartolo Colon on Thursday, poking fun at his weight multiple times.

Even with the loss of Harvey, the Mets starting pitching has been incredible so far and Terry Collins believes that makes their current success sustainable.

Despite giving up the go-ahead home run last night, Kyle Farnsworth is still the closer according to Terry Collins.

Juan Lagares is progressing in Florida, though it sounds like he'll have to play some rehab games in Las Vegas.

John Lannan will start games at Triple-A eventually.

Zack Wheeler struck out 10 on Friday night and got at least one strike three on all four of his pitches. Mmmm, yeah.

Jean Segura was accidentally hit in the face by Ryan Braun while Braun was warming up for an at bat. There's video in that link. Ouch.

Chris Davis is headed to the disabled list with an oblique injury.

Josh Reddick made a pretty incredible throw from right field to nail George Springer at third base.
