Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (7-3)______________________________________

LAS VEGAS 1, FRESNO 0 (Box)

This was a low-scoring, extra-inning affair, with the 51s mustering only five hits on the night. Kirk Nieuwenhuis was the difference-maker, hitting a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning. Dice-K was lights out, toeing the rubber for the 51s for seven innings, holding Fresno scoreless while striking out eight. Vic Black notched the save.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (6-3)______________________________________

BINGHAMTON 4, NEW HAMPSHIRE 9 (Box)

A tough night on the mound for Tyler Pill, who was touched up for seven runs in only four-and-two-third innings of work. Matt Clark knocked in two on a home run in the seventh, but it wasn't enough to dig Binghamton out of their early hole. Jack Leathersich struck out four in two-and-one-third innings, but surrendered a home run.

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (5-4)______________________________________

FT. MYERS 4, ST. LUCIE 5 (Box)

Ft. Myers tied it up in the eighth, but St. Lucie held them off for the victory. Michael Fulmer tossed seven innings of one-run ball, walking none and striking out five. Cam Maron went two for five with a triple and knocked in two, while Brandon Nimmo picked up three hits of his own and scored a run.

Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (6-3)______________________________________

SAVANNAH 4, ROME 3 (Box)

Colton Plaia supplied the power with a late-inning home run, while his teammates offered up a balanced attack in besting Rome. Victor Cruzado added a 3 for 5 effort and scored a run. John Gant tossed seven innings and struck out six, while scattering nine hits and allowing three runs on the night.

Star of the Night

Seems unfair to give it to the millionaire ex-major leaguer, but Dice-K shut them down and struck out eight, allowing just two hits. That's good no matter what.

Goat of the Night

That's a pretty bad line for Brett Pill.
