Your Tuesday morning dose of New York Mets news, notes, and links.

Meet the Mets

The New York Mets fell to the Marlins yesterday, as Bartolo Colon made his first appearance of the spring. Dillon Gee tossed 4 scoreless innings en route to an 8-0 victory.

Ike Davis will miss a week of practice, as he was assigned to wear a walking boot to protect his sore calf.

The Mets made their first round of cuts, yesterday. The most notable name on the list is that of Josh Edgin, but if the Mets plan to keep John Lannan around, it certainly becomes less surprising.
