The last time the Mets were in town, Coors Field was blanketed in snow, necessitating a snow-out and the coldest games in Rockies history. This time, the Rockies will host the Mets on a hot (mid 90s) afternoon, and the starting pitcher for Colorado is a player that wasn't on the roster when that game was previously scheduled.

New York will send out Jeremy Hefner, a 27 year-old in his first full major league season. Hefner has been moderately effective, posting a 3.89 ERA and 4.44 FIP, albeit with only a 6.9 K/9 rate.

Meanwhile, Tyler Chatwood looks to continue his breakout season. The 23 year-old has induced ground balls 60% of the time and struck out 7.1/9 innings in addition to the impressive 2.22 ERA and 2.56 FIP.

The Rockies look to get back to .500 with a win in this one, while Michael Cuddyer will look to extend his hitting streak to 24 games and break the record he and Dante Bichette jointly hold.
