Meet the Mets
The Mets announced the signing of Daisuke Matsuzaka to a minor league deal with an invite to big league camp. Daisuke will get $1.5 million should he make the MLB roster.
Word came out yesterday that the Mets have checked in with free agent reliever Fernando Rodney recently.
At his charity fundraiser last night, David Wright gave a big thumbs up to the acquisitions the Mets made this winter. Meanwhile, Sandy Alderson and Jeff Wilpon indicated that the Mets roster is not complete yet and there may be more players coming on board. Alderson said "every free agent is on our radar".
Matt Harvey says his rehab from Tommy John surgery is going really well and he'd like to pitch in September if possible.
Tim Byrdakconfirmed via Twitter that the Mets will not be bringing him back in 2014. Good luck, Tim!
