It's hard to imagine the Mets will want to trade Granderson anytime soon, but the team will have the ability to do so.

The Mets' four-year deal with Curtis Granderson does not include a no-trade clause, according to Jon Heyman. For now, it's hard to imagine the Mets are too worried about dealing Granderson since they really needed help at the plate and in the outfield. If the team suddenly finds itself with a boatload of outfielders down the road, they'll at least have the ability to flip Granderson.

Granderson will turn 33 in March and is coming off a season in which he missed large chunks of time because of a pair of freak broken bones caused by pitches that hit him. The Mets signed him yesterday to a four-year, $60 million contract. In just 245 plate appearances in 2013, Granderson didn't produce like he usually does, but he was a very good hitter in 2011 and 2012.
