Meet the Mets
It was reported on Saturday that the Mets jumped into the Bronson Arroyo sweepstakes and those rumors were confirmed by Adam Rubin, who said the team is set to meet with Arroyo this week at his Tampa home. David Lennon of Newsday says not so fast, though.
Joel Sherman reports that the Mets did show initial interest in free agent shortstop Rafael Furcal but the team is no longer interested in the veteran because of physical issues.

Robinson Canosays he never asked for $300 million but reports say that he did ask for between $250 and 260 million in his last offer to the Yankees. The two sides are still about $100 million apart.
