Meet the Mets
The Mets held a conference call to announce the signing of outfielder Chris Young yesterday. Young was in contact with David Wright throughout the process and was promised playing time in right field, as well as potentially in center. Juan Lagares still seems to have the better shot at being in center on Opening Day, however.
Sandy Alderson said that Ruben Tejada could conceivably be the Mets' starting shortstop in 2014, though he said not to rule out a trade.
David Wright still expects the Mets to be aggressive this winter and he hopes Sandy has some tricks up his sleeve. We all do, David.
