Andrelton Simmons' walk-off home run helped the Bravesdefeat the Brewers 3-2.

Michael Wacha came one out shy of no-hitting the Nationals, as the Cardinalswon 2-0. Ryan Zimmerman's infield single broke up the no-no with two out in the ninth.

Zach Miner started for the Phillies and they still beat the Marlins 2-1. Roy Halladay's season is over after he left yesterday's game facing just three batters and Halladay may be dealing with more than just arm injuries. Marlins' GM Larry Beinfest spoke about what it's like to work for Jeffrey Loria. Sounds like hell.

Around the Majors

Somehow, Manny Machado has no ACL or MCL damage to his left knee and could begin running in 6-8 weeks. That's great news for the Orioles and for all of baseball, really.

Seattle Mariners' GM Jack Zduriencik will be back in 2014.

Speaking of #6org, excellent stuff from Dave Cameron who wrote about the Pirates built themselves a playoff team.

Grant Brisbee wonders whether fielders are getting better and better.

Grant also wrote about the unnamed Dodgers player who bragged about peeing in the Chase Field pool.
