Sandy Alderson says that September call-ups will be made after the minor league playoffs end. Las Vegas can clinch their division with a win tonight. Ruben Tejada will be one of those call-ups and he's expected to get a long look at shortstop. It also sounds like Jeurys Familia will get some big league time as well, as he's working his way back. Frank Francisco, meanwhile, is pitching in Binghamton but is unlikely to get a promotion and likely will be released. And it looks like Bobby Parnell's season is over.
Lefty pitcher Steven Matz has overcome his Tommy John surgery from hell a few years back to turn himself into a prospect on the rise for the Mets.
