Meet the Mets
Just when you thought it was safe to play the Braves again, the Mets (with a rather large assist from Jerry Layne) managed to remind you that, no, it is never safe to play the Braves. Jason Fry admirably deals with the absurdity of yesterday game over at Faith and Fear in Flushing.
But hey, at least the Yankees beat reporters could enjoy yesterday's game at Citi Field, since it meant no A-Rod talk.
In actual good news, last night the Binghamton Mets, the big club's Double-A affiliate, clinched their first division title since 2000.
Before the Tigers come to town, Mark Simon has all the 'Met'rics from the Mets two-game tilt with the Braves.
