AAA -Las Vegas 51s (65-55)__________________________________
NEW ORLEANS 12, LAS VEGAS 9 (Box)
Nine runs on thirteen hits was not enough for Vegas to overcome Travis d'Arnaud's poor receiving skills* and the 51s' inability to prevent batted balls from landing safely Monday night as they lost to New Orleans 12-9. Giancarlo Alvarado and Jack Leathersich combined to do the most damage, going 4 IP, 9 H, 10 R, 9 ER, 4 BB, 8 K between the two of them. d'Arnaud carried the load offensively, going 3-5 with a double and home run while he awaits his imminent call-up.

- PH Kirk Nieuwenhuis: 0-1
- SS Ruben Tejada: 2-4, 2 R, 2B, 2 RBI, BB, K
- C Travis d'Arnaud: 3-5, R, 3 RBI, 2B, HR (2); Vegas triple slash .327/.485/.612. Small sample size obviously.
- 1B Lucas Duda: 2-5, K; I like seeing Duda at his second most natural position.
- 3B Zach Lutz: 1-4, R, BB, K
- OF Matt den Dekker: 1-2, R, 3 RBI, HR (4), K; up to .295/.360/.500. I'm excited for him to get called up and play in the same outfield as Lagares. He'll probably strikeout too much but the run prevention will be ridiculous.
- RHP Giancarlo Alvarado: 2 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 K
- LHP Jack Leathersich: 2 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 6 K; The strikeouts are great and all but the walks are a problem.

Hi-A -St. Lucie Mets (26-19 / 63-49)________________________________________
PALM BEACH 4, ST. LUCIE 8 (Box)
Michael Fulmer had a good news, bad news outing Monday night. The good news first; he allowed just two hits, one run, and had eight strikeouts. The bad; four walks. He now has 16 walks in 30.2 innings at advanced-A St. Lucie which--I don't need to tell you--isn't so great. Offensively, home runs from TJ Rivera (3-run homer in the 4th) and Kyle Johnson (his second in as many days) led the way towards putting up an eight spot, most of which turned out to be necessary due to Angel Cuan allowing six hits and three runs in just one inning of relief.
- CF Kyle Johnson: 2-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, HR (3), K
- 2B T.J. Rivera: 3-3, R, 4 RBI, HR (1), BB
- 1B Rylan Sandoval: 0-4, 2 K
- LF Dustin Lawley: 0-2, R, RBI, BB, 2 K, SB (6)
- C Kevin Plawecki: 0-3, BB
- DH Jayce Boyd: 1-4, 2B, RBI
- SS Matt Reynolds: 2-3, R, 2B, BB
- RF Gilbert Gomez: 0-3, R, BB, 2 K
- RHP Michael Fulmer: 6 IP, 2 H, R, ER, 4 BB, 8 K

Goat of the Night
Ivan Wilson is a machine. A strikeout machine.
