AAA - Buffalo Bisons (59-64)_______________________________________
PAWTUKET 5, BUFFALO 1 (Box)
The herd offense did basically nothing last night, managing only 4 singles and a walk on the evening. Colin McHugh pitched well enough that we may have had extra batting practice after playing 9, but Pedro Beato had other plans. After giving up a pair of bombs in his inning of work, this one was pretty much over.
- C Mike Nickeas: 1-3
- CF Matt Den Dekker: 0-3, 2 K
- DH Zach Lutz: 1-3, BB, K
- 1B Josh Satin: 0-3, RBI
- 2B Brad Emaus: 0-3, E
- LF Lucas Duda: 0-4, 3 K
- RHP Colin McHugh: 5.2 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 6 K, 4 BB - 67 strikes on 100 pitches, 5/7 groundout/flyout
SAVANNAH 4, LEXINGTON 3 (Box)
.Savannah's offense got going early, and Michael Fulmer had a solid enough outing to make it hold up. Four fairly solid innings from the bullpen would seal it, as Savannah held off a 9th inning rally to get the win.
- C Cam Maron: 1-4, 2 K
- CF Gilbert Gomez: 2-3, BB, K, R, SB, CS
- 3B Brian Harrison: 0-2, 2 BB, K
- LF Dustin Lawley: 0-2, 2 RBI
- RF Gregory Pron: 2-4, 2B, 2 K
- C Albert Cordero: 1-3, 2B, BB, K
- RHP Michael Fulmer: 5 IP, 4 H, ER, 4 K, 3 BB
★ Star of the Night ★
There was nothing great last night, but Gilbert Gomez was pretty good. With only 2 games last evening, that's good enough for a star.
Goat of the Night
Not a difficult choice tonight, is it? Pedro Beato was pretty terrible, giving up 4 runs in only an inning of work.
