SNY has found their replacement for Bobby Ojeda.
SNY has come to terms with former Met Nelson Figueroa to be its new studio analyst for the upcoming season, as first reported by Newsday. Figueroa will be replacing Bobby Ojeda in the studio for pre-game and post-game analysis. It was announced a couple of weeks ago that Ojeda wouldn't be returning for the 2015 season.
Figueroa grew up in Brooklyn and spent two seasons as a Met in 2008 and 2009, going 6-11 with a 4.28 ERA.
"It was a dream come true to have an opportunity to sign and play with them," Figueroa said. "To actually play for them in a major league uniform was a dream come true.
"To have an opportunity to work now and actually get paid for my opinions on the Mets? Outstanding."
