Alex Hall makes his weekly appearance on the Phil Naessens Show and the guys discuss what the starting infield might look like.
Hey Athletics Nation!!
Who's on first for the Oakland Athletics in 2015? We already know Ben Zobrist is on second but what we really don't know is who in the heck is going to be the opening day shortstop for the A's.
That's what Alex and I talked about on my daily show today.
Let me state right now that as a New York Mets fan I have zero use for Ike Davis. Every time his name comes up I cringe. Sorry.
Other than that I'm fairly encouraged at what I see as a potential infield against both righties as well as against lefties.
I'm still not sure how I feel about Marcus Semian starting as short. To be honest I would have preferred Yunel Escobar over Semian. Maybe Spring Training will change my mind about Semian.
Hector Olivero's name also popped up in today's conversation as well. Olivero is a big Cuban kid who's supposedly a good hitter. Olivero may also be pricey and with his health issues he's a high risk type of guy.
Alex led off the show that I will leave below. If you would like to save the program to your portable listening device you can do so at my site where you can also help nominate the show for Podcast of the Year. The show with the most nominations goes on to the final round of actual voting. Last year we fell a few nominations short of the final round so thanks in advance for nominating The Phil Naessens Show!
