The Mets and three of their arbitration eligible players agreed to one-year deals yesterday: Daniel Murphy, Dillon Gee, and Ruben Tejada. They also traded figures with Lucas Duda and Jenrry Mejia.
While Murphy is under control for one more season, it appears the second baseman will be allowed to test free agency after 2015 as the Mets have no long term contract plans for him. Meanwhile, multiple teams are still pursuing a trade for Dillon Gee.
