Adam Rubin, Mets writer for ESPN New York, took to twitter last night to answer many of the questions Mets fans have been asking this offseason. The most prominent area of speculation for the Mets has been who will be the Opening Day shortstop.

If free agent shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera is still around in January, Rubin said he could definitely see the Mets making an offer if the cost is low enough. He does not believe the Mets have had conversations with the White Sox about Alexei Ramirez yet, but ESPN’s Buster Olney was told that their asking price is "steep."
Of course, GM Sandy Alderson has already said that he has no problem with Wilmer Floresstarting the season at shortstop.
