The Nationals fell to the Pirates again, this time by a 5-1 score. They now have the same number of losses as the Mets, something that you totally would've predicted in spring training.

The Marlins beat the Rockies 4-2 behind Jose Fernandez's seven innings. Fernandez's start was coupled with the news that the Marlins called up promising outfield prospects Christian Yelich and Jake Marisnick from the minors, while demoting Marcell Ozuna and Derek Dietrich.

Alex Rodriguez may be suspended any day now but the embattled slugger is not planning to make a deal with MLB like Ryan Braun did. That may be a mistake, as Rodriguez could be looking at a lifetime ban from the game.
TRAID! The Oriolesacquired former Mets' closer Francisco Rodriguez from the Brewers in exchange for minor leaguer Nick Delmonico. Seriously, if two months of Rodriguez could return a B- prospect, two plus years of Bobby Parnell can't return a B or better player?
Rumor had it yesterday that the Yankees and Cubs were working on an Alfonso Soriano trade but the Cubs are saying that any talk of that is premature.
The Red Sox and Dustin Pedroia have agreed to a seven year, $100 million contract extension. That's a pretty nice deal for the Sox.
With Yasiel Puig working out incredibly well, the Dodgers have reportedly agreed to a $32 million contract with Cuban infielder Alexander Guerrero.
