LAS VEGAS 7, OKLAHOMA CITY 1 (Box)
Down 1–0, Travis d'Arnaud got the 51s started with a two-run homer in the top of the third inning. Las Vegas put four more on the board against Michael Foltynewicz in the next two innings, with a Kirk Nieuwenhuis double and an Allan Dykstra triple leading the way. Rafael Montero's night was short-lived, as he threw only five pitches before being pulled due to an injury to his left side. Darin Gorski was his replacement, and though he was lenient in allowing baserunners, yielding six hits and four free passes, he limited the RedHawks to just one run in six-and-two-thirds innings, and picked up the win to move his record to 1–1. The 51s and the RedHawks are now deadlocked in the four-game series at one game apiece. Las Vegas looks to take the lead tonight, and will send Giancarlo Alvarado (2–2, 5.67) to face off against the RedHawks' Jake Buchanan at 7:05 ET.

In a doubleheader-shortened game, Tyler Pill and Adam Kolarek limited the Erie SeaWolves to just two runs and five hits. The B-Mets loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth before Travis Taijeron singled to bring in two and secure the lead for good. Pill picked up the win to take his record to 4–5 and Kolarek notched his second save of the season.

Hansel Robles was sharp in Game 2, striking out five and permitting only four baserunners over his seven innings of shutout work. The offense displayed an embarrassment of power in the nightcap as four B-Mets batters went deep, with both Brian Burgamy and Matt Clark notching their tenth home runs of the season, and Matt Reynolds picking up his first. Travis Taijeron joined the parade and split the difference with his fifth. With the complete game shutout, Robles evened his record at 4–4. Up two games to none, the B-Mets and Angel Cuan will look to sweep the SeaWolves tonight at 6:35 ET.

After seeing their opener washed out on Friday night, the Brooklyn Cyclones kicked off their season with a win on Saturday at home against the Staten Island Yankees. Cyclones' starter Octavio Acosta struck out seven in his four-and-two-thirds innings, though he did allow four free passes. Backstop Tomas Nido had a nice game, picking up his first two hits of the season, including a run-scoring triple. Third baseman Jhoan Urena swatted two hits and netted an RBI of his own. Brandon Welch, picked up his first win on the season in relief of Acosta. With Friday's rainout, Staten Island and Brooklyn will play two today with the first game slated to begin at 4:00 ET.
