OKLAHOMA CITY 6, LAS VEGAS 5 (Box)
The Mets demoted Travis d'Arnaud so he could work on his hitting in the bandboxes of the Pacific Coast League and with a few more games like last night's, he might be punching his time card at Citi Field again soon. d'Arnaud took Brett Oberholtzer, another recent MLB demotee, deep in the first inning to give the 51s an early lead. The RedHawks would counter with three runs (two unearned thanks to errors by Josh Satin and Cesar Puello), but Cory Vaughn knotted the score by blasting a two-run shot in the fourth.
Las Vegas took their last lead of the game three frames later on an Anthony Seratelli RBI double, which was unfortunate as the contest went 12 innings long. The 51s were an out away from winning, but John Church unleashed a wild pitch with the bases loaded and that allowed the tying run to scamper home. Gregorio Petit sent the home fans happy in the 12th, poking a Zack Thornton offering over the wall to end the game four-plus hours after it started.

St. Lucie and the rest of the Florida State League Took Friday night off in preparation for the South vs. North All-Star Game, which takes place this evening. Seven Mets are eligible to partake in the exhibition: Randy Fontanez, Dilson Herrera, Matt Koch, Cam Maron, Steven Matz, Brandon Nimmo, and T.J. Rivera.

AUGUSTA 5, SAVANNAH 1 (Box)
The rain gods and schedule makers conspired to make sure this was the only other Mets minor league game on the docket last night. Alex Panteliodis kept Augusta in check for five innings, though he faltered in the sixth when facing the heart of the GreenJackets lineup. Panteliodis got the hook after allowing three straight singles to open the frame, though Dawrin Frias, his replacement, wasn't an improvement. The righty reliever walked three straight to effectively dash any hopes of victory.

The 2013-14 off-season lasts one more day for the 'Clones, as their Opening Day contest against the Staten Island Yankees was washed out. The crosstown rivals will play two on Sunday. Assuming Brooklyn pushes the scheduled starter back a day, righty Octavio Acosta will toe the rubber in Coney Island later this evening.
As for the DSL teams, Mets1 won and Mets2 lost big time.
Star of the Night
Though he's still the Mets' catcher of the future, Travis d'Arnaud didn't start behind the plate yesterday. Juan Centeno donned the tools of ignorance and had himself a star-worthy turn.
