Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (35-26)______________________________________
FRESNO 10, LAS VEGAS 1 (Box)
Darin Gorski's second start for Las Vegas was a near-xerographic copy of his first. Which is to say it was similar, but of a slightly worse quality. As he did in his 51s debut, Gorski gave up seven hits while walking two and striking out five, only he lasted just five innings in this start instead of six and one of those base knocks flew over the wall. The less said about the rest of Gorski's pitching staff mates, the better. Zack Thornton, Miguel Solocovich, and John Church combined to cough up six runs in three and two-third innings to turn this one into a lopsided affair.
Daniel Muno had the only extra-base hit of the night, a pinch-hit, RBI double to trim the final run differential to a mere minus-nine.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (31-28)______________________________________
NEW BRITAIN 6, BINGHAMTON 3 (Box)
Standing six-and-a half feet tall and weighing in at 275 pounds, New Britain first baseman Kennys Vargas is big dude. Against Binghamton last night, that big dude put on a performance at the plate that befits his monstrous proportions. Vargas drove in all six runs for the RockCats, as he took B-Mets starter Matthew Bowman deep for a grand slam in the sixth and then added two insurance runs with a bases-clearing double one inning later.
As for Binghamton's offense, Matt Clark hit his ninth homer of the year, but the rest of the lineup tallied just four singles.

High-A - St. Lucie Mets (35-26)______________________________________
ST. LUCIE 5, DUNEDIN 0 (Box)
Gabriel Ynoa gave up a pair of singles in the first, but utterly dominated Dunedin from that point on. The 21-year old struck out at least two batters in second, third, fourth, and fifth innings, racking up a season-high 11 Ks in total. The hitters that actually managed to make contact against Ynoa couldn't muster up much with their swings, either. Only one of the eight outs recorded by Ynoa's teammates came via the air. With seven shutout innings last night, it's now been six starts since the young right-hander has let more than two runners cross the plate and he's tallied 29:4 K-to-BB ratio over that span.
The game didn't end nearly as well for Brandon Nimmo, unfortunately. He was hit on the forearm by a pitch in the fifth, but came out of the game after running the bases.
- SS Dilson Herrera: 1-5, R, 2 K, SB
- CF Brandon Nimmo: 1-2, HBP

- REHAB ALERT RHP Gonzalez Germen: 1 IP, 1 H, 2 K
Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (39-19)_____________________________________
SAVANNAH 10, CHARLESTON 4 (Box)
The Sand Gnats paid a visit to Charleston's Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park last night and housebroke the host RiverDogs with ease. Savannah scored twice in the first courtesy of L.J. Mazzilli's seventh homer of the season, tacked on another run via Dom Smith's RBI groundout in the third, then exploded for four more in the fourth. The highlight of that scoring binge was Ahmed Rosario's first single-A dinger, a solo shot to open the frame.
All the offense helped absolve Robert Gsellman of a less-than gstellar start. The right-hander was very hittable, as he allowed four runs on ten base knocks in four-plus innings of work. Both team's bullpens were sharp, however. Dario Alvarez and Akeel Morris fanned eight of the ten batters they faced, while Charleston relievers Eric Ruth and Evan Rutckji set down 14 Sand Gnats in a row at one point.
- CF Champ Stuart: 1-4, R, 3 K
- SS Gavin Cecchini: 1-4, 3 R, RBI, BB, SB
- DH Jeff McNeil: 3-4, R, 2B, 2 RBI, K
- 2B L. J. Mazzilli: 2-5, R, HR, 2 RBI, 2 K
- 1B Dominic Smith: 2-5, 2B, RBI, 2 K
- RF Jorge Rivero: 1-5, RBI, 3 K
- 3B Ahmed Rosario: 1-5, R, HR, RBI, 2 K
- LF Patrick Biondi: 1-3, R, BB
- C Jeff Glenn: 0-2, 2 R, 2 BB, K
- RHP Robert Gsellman: 4.2 IP, 10 H, 4 ER, BB, K
- LHP Dario Alvarez: 2.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 6 K
- RHP Akeel Morris: 1 IP, 1 H, 2 K
