Your Tuesday morning, cheesesteak-hating dose of New York Mets and MLB news, notes, and links.

Meet the Mets

The Mets won in regulation! Crazy, right? Well you won't believe how they got there. First, Matt den Dekker managed to rob a Ryan Howard homer to straight-away center, then the Mets broke their bases loaded skid with a Wilmer Flores double. Flores followed that up with his second career home run, which happened to be a game-breaking grand slam. All that, combined with an excellent start from Bartolo Colon, led to an 11-2 victory over Sauron's Army the Phillies.
