Double-A - Binghamton Mets (22–16)______________________________________
BINGHAMTON 6, NEW HAMPSHIRE 5 (Box)
Rainy Lara threw a strong six innings against the Fisher Cats on Saturday before breaking in the seventh, but the B-Mets bullpen stanched the bleeding and held on for the win. Binghamton kicked off the scoring in the top of the third when Travis Taijeron led off with a double. Wilfredo Tovar knocked Taijeron in with a single and then scooted home himself following a wild pitch and a Brian Burgamy single. A little later, Kevin Plawecki finished the scoring by driving home Burgamy on a stiff single to right field.
The B-Mets managed to score three more, including two in the top of the seventh on a couple of Fisher Cat defensive miscues. Lara struck out seven and walked none in his 6⅓ innings of work, and had allowed only two runs when he hit a wall in the bottom of the seventh. Three of the first four Fisher Cats reached on a couple of singles and a double. With one run already in the books, John Church relieved Lara and allowed two more of his (Lara's) runners to score. But at 6–5, the bullpen held on for the final two innings and Lara earned his fourth win. Cody Satterwhite closed it out and netted his first save of the season.
The B-Mets are going for the sweep this afternoon up two games to none.

The bases were loaded with one out after Malkis De La Cruz reached on an error, Dilson Herrera doubled, and Brandon Nimmo was given an intentional pass. T.J. CHARLESTON 3, SAVANNAH 1 (Box)
The Sand Gnats recorded the only loss on the Mets farm on Saturday. There was plenty of action, as Savannah racked up 12 hits on the day, but only one went for extra bases. It was a group effort on the mound for Savannah. Gavin Cecchini made a costly error in the first which led to two unearned runs. The River Dogs only scored one more, but with Savannah's untimely hitting, it was enough. Robert Gsellman took the loss to move his record to 2–3. The two teams will square off today at 2:05 EDT for game two of their four-game set. Chris Flexen will get the start for the Sand Gnats.
