The scheduled matchup in Philadelphia between Bartolo Colon and Kyle Kendrick has been rained out and rescheduled for June 2.
As everyone suspected might happen, tonight's Mets-Phillies game at Citizen's Bank Park has been rained out. With rain expected to continue for the rest of the day and well into the night, it appeared there would be no window for even an abbreviated contest to be played. The news comes as little surprise, as even during Tuesday night's 6-1 win, the SNY booth talked openly about a cancellation of game #2 as if it were a foregone conclusion.
Wednesday's game would have featured a matchup of Bartolo Colon against Kyle Kendrick. According to a tweet from the Daily News' Kristie Ackert, today's game has been rescheduled for Monday, June 2. That will come at the tail end of a previously scheduled four-game set in Philadelphia, meaning the Mets will now play five games in at CPB at the end of May/beginning of June.
