By most accounts, Juan Lagares has been a very good defensive center fielder for the Mets this season. He's not doing much at the plate — .230/.248/.349 — but his glovework has been sublime.
We all have our moments, though, and Lagares's came during the top of the eighth inning of last night's game against the Diamondbacks. Paul Goldschmidt hit a sinking liner to center that Lagares juuuuust didn't quite get to.
