Triple-A - Las Vegas 51s (12-4)______________________________________
RENO 10, LAS VEGAS 7 (Box)
Rafael Montero suffered through his worst start of the year, done in by a rough first inning. Staked to a one-run lead in the top of the frame, Montero mowed down the first two batters he faced with ease, but the next six reached reached base. Doing the most damage in the hit parade were ex-Met Mike Jacobs, who doubled home a run, and a mystery man who connected for a two-run homer.
First inning aside, Montero didn't pitch poorly, though he did give up another run on a Didi Gregorius triple in the fourth. The same can't be said for the Las Vegas bullpen. Homers from Taylor Teagarden and Anthony Seratelli got the 51s back into the game, but the five relievers manager Wally Backman called upon were alternately wild (Ryan Reid, Vic Black) or ineffective (Miguel Socolovich, Josh Edgin). Worst of the bunch was Jeff Walters, who mercifully ended the longest home game in Reno Aces history by allowing a walk-off three-run bomb to the aforementioned Gregorius.

Double-A - Binghamton Mets (8-5)______________________________________
NEW HAMPSHIRE 6, BINGHAMTON 3 (Box)
Rough relief work spoiled a solid outing from Darin Gorski last night in the Parlor City. The lefty turned in his second straight quality start, though it easily could have gone the other way had any of the three homers Gorski allowed come with runners on base. Offensively, the only B-Met with more than one safety was Kevin Plawecki, who tallied his fourth multi-hit game of the young season.
- CF Kyle Johnson: 0-5, 3 K
- SS Matt Reynolds: 1-4, RBI, BB, 2 K

Advanced-A - St. Lucie Mets (9-6)______________________________________
ST. LUCIE 15, FT. MYERS 9 (Box)
Let's start with the good. St. Lucie's offense pounded the Fort Myers Miracle pitching staff. Brandon Nimmo, held hitless for the first time all year on Thursday night, made up for the collar with three singles and a triple in five tries to bring his slash line to a ridiculous .407/.507/.542. The Wyoming Wonder also drew a walk without the commensurate strikeout for a change. In addition to Nimmo, first baseman T.J. Rivera also happened to rap out four hits. In fact, every member of the St. Lucie lineup had a multi-hit game, save for Dilson Herrera, who merely singled once, and Eudy Pina, who took an oh-fer.
Now the bad: The offense had to be prolific in order to overcome another Michael Fulmer disaster start. Fulmer faced 18 batters, eleven of which reached base, while eight of them made a full trip around the bags. The best that can be said of Fulmer's night is that of the nine hits he allowed, four were of the ground ball variety, so it's certainly possible that with a rangier middle infield behind him, his line wouldn't look nearly as crooked.
- 2B Dilson Herrera: 1-6, 3 RBI, SB
- CF Brandon Nimmo: 4-5, 3B, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB
- 1B T.J. Rivera: 4-6, 2 R, 3 RBI, K
- DH Brandon Allen: 2-3, 2B, R, 2 RBI, 3 BB
- 2B Aderlin Rodriguez: 2-6, 2B, R, 3 RBI, K
- C Cam Maron: 2-5, R, RBI, BB, K
- RF Eudy Pina: 0-6, R, K
- SS Phillip Evans: 2-5, 2B, 2 R, K
- LF Maikis De La Cruz: 2-4, HR, R, 3 RBI, BB
- RHP Michael Fulmer: 2.1 IP, 9 H, 8 ER, BB, 2 K, HR
- RHP Julio Lugo: 5 IP, 3 H, ER, 2 BB, 3 K
Low-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (9-5)______________________________________
Postponed due to rain.
Star of the Night
With his four-for-five night, Brandon Nimmo has now gotten on base in the majority of his plate appearances this season. That's star stuff.
Goat of the Night
Michael Fulmer. On the plus side, the right hander rebounded from his first shellacking with seven solid innings of one-run ball. Maybe he'll trade the horns for the starry crown in five days' time.
