Saturday highlight from the Giants' farm: Chris Heston had 6.0 scoreless IP.

AAA: Fresno lost to Las Vegas 1-0 (10 innings)

In a game in which both teams had just five hits, Brown led the Grizzlies with two hits.  He now has a .333 AVG.

In a pitchers' duel, Heston faced just one batter over the minimum in 6.0 scoreless IP, and the Mets' Matsuzaka faced just three batters over the minimum in 7.0 scoreless IP.  Heston was lifted for a pinch hitter after 76 pitches (54 strikes).  He had an 11/1 GO/FO line.

(allowing the tying run in the top of the 8th inning but scoring the go-ahead run in the bottom half)

With three walks each, Duffy and Lisson combined to reach base seven times.  For the game, the Flying Squirrels had just four hits but a dozen walks.  Graham reached base in all three of his plate appearances and now has an 8/2 SB/CS line.

Crick had an abbreviated start, at least as measured by outs recorded if not pitches thrown.  He threw 74 pitches (41 strikes) in just 2.2 IP.  In long relief, Casilla was much more efficient, facing just 10 batters to record 10 outs and throwing just 28 pitches (21 strikes).  Law pitched a perfect 9th inning with 2 K for his 1st save.

(allowing the tying run in the 9th inning and then allowing seven runs in the 10th inning)

Turner and Blair each had two hits, raising their respective AVGs to .393 and .370.  Blair also threw out a runner at the plate.

Young allowed just 1 R through 5.0 IP before not retiring either batter faced in the 6th inning, both of whom scored after he had left the game.

Paulino's three hits paced the GreenJackets' twelve-hit attack.  In his last three games, he has 7 H and 5 SB.

Diaz began with five scoreless frames before surrendering a run in the 6th inning.  Smith struck out 6 of his 11 batters.
