Eric Young scored four runs as the Mets won the rubber game in Atlanta.
Jenrry Mejia might not have been as sharp as he was in his season debut, but the Mets still managed a 6-4 win in Atlanta for their second win in a three-game series.
The Mets scored a run in the first, but the Braves answered with a solo home run by Justin Upton in the second. The Mets scored two more in the top of the third, but the Braves answered with three runs in the bottom half—thanks in part to a botched fly ball by Curtis Granderson and Justin Upton's second home run of the night.
But the Mets tied the game with a run in the fifth, took the lead with one in the seventh, and tacked on one more in the eighth. And with Mejia having left the game after five innings, Carlos Torres threw a pair of very important scoreless innings before Kyle Farnsworth and Jose Valverde threw one scoreless frame apiece.
