The Washington Nationals and New York Mets wrap up their respective Grapefruit League schedules this afternoon in Port St. Lucie, Florida's Tradition Field in a game this is being shown live on ESPN in the nation's capital, SNY in NY and on MLB.tv at 12:05 pm EDT.

In their last Grapefruit League game, the Washington Nationals take on the New York Mets this afternoon in a 12:05 pm EST matchup in Port St. Lucie, Florida's Tradition Field, back where all the 2014 action began on February 28th with the first game on the Spring Training schedule.

Jordan Zimmermann takes the mound one last time this spring against the same Mets he'll face in the second game of the regular season next Wednesday night in New York's Citi Field. Through four starts, the 27-year-old, 2007 2nd Round pick out of Auburndale, Wisconsin is (1-0) in Florida, with a 0.69 ERA, one walk and 12 Ks in 13 IP over which he's given up seven hits and one earned run while holding opposing hitters to a .156 BAA.

Ryan Zimmerman is sitting with some sort of stomach issue, and apparently Nats' skipper Matt Williams decided to shuffle things up a little bit when coming up with the lineup for the spring finale:

MASNSports.com's Dan Kolko wrote this morning that Williams told reporters he was just experimenting with the lineup:

Anthony Rendon is also playing third base this afternoon instead of second, as Williams has previously said he might when and if Zimmerman is shifted over to first this season.

Today, it's Adam LaRoche at first of course with Zimmerman out of the lineup.

The Nationals and Mets get underway an hour earlier than usual this afternoon and then it's off to the nation's capital for the final exhibition game before Monday afternoon's season opener.

Game time: 12:05 pm EDT from Port St. Lucie, Florida's Tradition Field. Today's game is being shown live on ESPN in the nation's capital and SNY in the New York area, and it's also available via MLB.tv's subscription services.
