One of these games is on WGN-TV, the other on WGN radio. Details below.

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona -- Today marks the first of three straight split-squad days, with lots of playing time for virtually all of the 54 players left in camp. I'd expect there to be some roster cuts after Monday's pair of games and before Tuesday's night game against the Rangers at Surprise.

The Cubs will be the "home" team for today's game in Las Vegas and bat last.

Cubs lineup vs. Royals at Surprise:

Lake CF, Roberts 2B, Castillo C, Ruggiano LF, Olt 1B, Valaika SS, Vitters DH, Jackson RF, Villanueva 3B

No Royals lineup was available at posting time.

Cubs lineup vs. Mets in Las Vegas:

Barney 2B, Murphy 3B, Schierholtz DH, Rizzo 1B, Sweeney RF, Baez SS, McDonald LF, Whiteside C, Szczur CF

No Mets lineup was available at posting time.

At Surprise, Jeff Samardzija starts for the Cubs. He'll be followed by Wesley Wright, Pedro Strop and Chang-yong Lim.

For the Royals, it's James Shields, followed by Tim Collins, Jon Rauch, Cory Wade and Donnie Joseph.

At Las Vegas, Tsuyoshi Wada gets the start for the Cubs. He will be followed by Carlos Pimentel, Justin Grimm, Blake Parker and Zac Rosscup.

For the Mets, it'll be Bartolo Colon.

Today's game vs. the Royals in Surprise is on WGN radio with Pat Hughes and Ron Coomer.

Today's game vs. the Mets in Las Vegas is on WGN-TV with Len Kasper and Jim Deshaies.

MLB.com Gameday for Cubs/Mets

Here is the complete MLB.com Mediacenter for today.

For spring-training games, we'll have a first-pitch thread at game time and one overflow thread, 90 minutes after game time (because I know how you all like overflow threads!). For today's games, that will be 3 p.m. CT and 4:30 p.m. CT (there won't be separate threads for the two games, just use these). These threads will not post individually onto the front page; instead, you can find links to them in the box marked "Chicago Cubs Game Threads" at the bottom of the front page. They will also appear in this StoryStream™. The pitcher box and regular-season stats will return on Opening Day.

Discuss amongst yourselves.
