Meet the Mets
The Mets beat the Cardinals 9-8 yesterday as Zach Lutz's 9th inning home run propelled the Mets to victory in a see-saw affair. Jon Niese got rocked in his first start of the spring, showing lower velocity than normal. Lutz, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, and Josh Satin all hit home runs.
Wilmer Flores played shortstop yesterday and Terry Collins was pleased with what he saw.
Ike Davis and Lucas Duda may be ready for game action by the end of the week.
