Meet the Mets
The Mets played real baseball again yesterday, as the they triumphed over the Braves by a score of 6-2. The Mets were able to smite the Evil Ones with a big two-run double off the bat of Cory Vaughn, but were led by the very impressive Noah Syndergaard. Terry Collins praised Syndergaard's appearance, saying that he's "on track to be special."
Both Mets first basemen sustained minor leg injuries on Monday; as Lucas Duda was sidelined with leg stiffness, and Ike Davis had some calf tightness. Both will reportedly be available tomorrow.
Mets legend Mike Piazza was back with the club on Monday, and will serve as a guest instructor for the week.
