Reports came out yesterday that the Mets made an offer to shortstop Stephen Drew, though the two sides were still discussing years. The Mets came out with a bucket of cold water, however, denying that an offer had been made and saying that Drew is still considered a "long shot" to sign with the team. We'll see.
