Five Mets prospects in Keith Law's top 100

It's no wonder why the baseball insider ranked New York's farm system so high.

On Tuesday prospect expert Keith Law revealed his ranking of every farm system in baseball, and the Mets organization was ranked sixth. That was a pleasant surprise, and today we get to see exactly which (subscription required) of New York's prospects Law is so excited about.

While it's no shock to see Noah Syndergaard and Travis d'Arnaud ranked so high, Law appears very optimistic about the future of 2013 first round draft pick Dominic Smith. The young first baseman was not ranked by either Baseball Prospectus or the MLB official site. Neither was Brandon Nimmo, who has been solid, but not spectacular as a minor league player so far.

Rounding out the fantastic five is Rafael Montero, who appeared on MLB's list but not BP's. Wilmer Flores, who was ranked as the 71st best prospect in baseball by BP, appears to be the only top Mets prospect that Law is relatively low on. That makes sense considering the concerns about Flores's ability to stick at a position other than first base in the majors.
